Mor Salkım ~ WISTERIA

> Mor salkım (Wisteria sinensis), ilkbahardan yaza geçişin habercisidir. Küçük bir fideyken iki, üç sene sonra çiçek açmaya başlar. İster ufak bir ağaç, ister müthiş bir sarmaşık olarak yetişen, Papilionaceae ailesinden bu bitkinin anavatanı, Uzakdoğı'da Çin ve Japonya'dır. Türkiye'de genelde Mor Salkım olarak tanınır. Arsız ve yetişkin boya eriştiği dönemde hızlı büyüyen sarmaşık, ağaçlaşan gövdesiyle en çarpıcı peyzaj bitkilerinden biridir. Çiçekeleri hoş, mükemmel derecede kokuludur. Çiçekleri solsa bile kokmaya devam eder. Ömrü yaklaşık 70-80 yıldır.

Wisteria sinensis brings news of the transition from spring to summer. From seed, the wisteria begins to flower teo to three years after being planted. A part of the Papilionaceae family, the homeland of this plant that can grow as a small three or luscious vine is the Far East, Chine and Japan. In Turkey, it's generally known as the "Mor Salkım" which literally translates to "Purple Vine". The Wisteria grows extremely quickly when it reaches full height and with its tree-like trunk it's one of the most important and striking landscape plants. Its flowers are pretty and fragrant. It will continue to smell even if the flowers die. It has a lifespan of roughly 70-80 years. <
